Calculation Principles & Formulas
TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) is the total number of calories you burn in a day. It is calculated by multiplying your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) by an activity factor.
- Mifflin-St Jeor Equation: Used when body fat percentage is not provided. Considered one of the most accurate BMR formulas.
- Katch-McArdle Equation: Used when body fat percentage is provided. Based on lean body mass, making it more accurate for various body types.
