Calculation Principles & Standards
FFMI (Fat-Free Mass Index) is a measurement used to determine the amount of muscle mass an individual has. Unlike BMI, FFMI accounts for body fat percentage, making it a more accurate indicator for athletes and bodybuilders.
Formula: FFMI = [Weight(kg) × (1 - Body Fat%)] / Height(m)². For individuals taller than 1.8m, we use the Normalized FFMI formula to allow for a fair comparison across different heights.
